MotoGP’s Finnish Grand Prix will be canceled for the 2022 season with the current political situation between Russia and Ukraine pushing it to 2023, forcing Dorna Sport to postpone it for the safety of many.
And, of course, when that happens, transportation slows down as well, causing the KymiRing Circuit to be postponed for the third year in a row since the Covid-19 pandemic. This leaves only 20 races in the MotoGP calendar this year.
The cancellation of the race at the KymiRing Circuit created a six-week gap between the Dutch TT at Assen on June 26 and the British Grand Prix on August 7 at Silverstone. It can be said that they rested for a full 2 months ever.
