Trouve Expected To Launch Compact Electric Sportbike In 2022

In recent years, the electric two-wheeler business has flourished and new models have appeared all over the world. Innovations in the field of electric mobility, in particular, have spread rapidly in India. Today, electric two-wheelers are available in a variety of designs and sizes.

While electric scooters and commuters are pretty ubiquitous these days, the occasional electric sportbike concept catches our eye. Trouve Motor, an Indian electric mobility company, has announced plans to launch a compact electric sport bike. The yet-to-be-named electric sport bike is expected to come with a 40-kilowatt motor and a host of tech capabilities. The bike would be unveiled in the second half of 2022 by the Delhi-based company. So far, nothing is known about the new machine, although there have been a lot of big announcements.

A 40kW electric motor will drive the fully-faired sports bike, transmitting torque to the rear wheel via a chain. Battery-related details have yet to be mentioned. However, according to Trouve, the bike will be able to accelerate from 0 to 60 miles per hour in less than three seconds. Meanwhile, the top speed is said to be around 200 kilometers per hour (125 miles per hour).

In the new sport bike, electric powertrain technology is combined with an operating system that is designed to optimize itself using artificial intelligence technology. Included is a full LED lighting package, front and rear mounted cameras, built-in GPS navigation, full color TFT instrumentation and of course smartphone connectivity options. Trouve also says advanced electronic cycling aids should be included in the mix, though the company hasn't specified which ones.

Trouve Motor's intentions go beyond the future sports bike. There are also plans for a naked bike, a cafe racer, an enduro, a scrambler and a classic version. All of these bikes, according to Trouve, will have a powerful electric motor, as well as high-tech electronic features with AI capabilities, just like their future sports bike. As a result, the motorcycle would be able to learn how its user drives it in order to provide the most efficient and optimal performance.
