Toyota GRMN Yaris debuts as limited run hot hatch for Tarmac and Dirt

While Toyota was fun, last week's GR GT3 concept and "hardcore" GR Yaris certainly caught our eye. Of the two, GRMN Yaris is the star of the show, not least because it's actually available for purchase. Technically speaking, only 500 people buy it, but it's still something you can see in public. Especially if you are on a race track or rally stage. First, the things you need to know are: As you can imagine, the GRMN Yaris is slimmer, stiffer, and sharper, but surprisingly less powerful. Its turbocharged 1.6-liter three-cylinder engine could put out 268 horsepower (200 kW), similar to the GRMN Yaris in the Japanese model. Instead, the update focuses on weight reduction, single-body reinforcement, short shifts and cosmetic tweaks, so the car won't be mistaken for a regular hatchback.
