The production version of the Devel Sixteen is now being tested on public roads

However, as announced in a video released by a Dubai-based carmaker, it is now in production and has been tested on public transport. The description said it was on an Italian road test.  Last week, on an Italian circuit, a 1,500 horsepower V8 version of the Sixteen was tested. It can be seen in the video embedded below.     Last year, Devel was testing a V16 version of the Sixteen, No Quad Turbo. It was unclear whether the publicly tested Production 16 was powered by a V16 engine. However, it is a toned down street car that produces 3,000 horsepower. Notably, the truck-only version was billed to generate 5,007 horsepower and 3,757 foot pounds (5,094 N m) of torque. Top speed is claimed to be 320 mph (515 km/h).  In case you missed it, the Devel Sixteen has a pair of LSV8s that have been significantly revamped, courtesy of the Steve Morris engine. Both the V8 and V16 road cars are mated to dual clutch gearboxes, while truck cars use the gearbox used by dragsters.  Devel is very active on social media channels, keeping potential customers up to date with their products. The company has already received orders, but buyers will have to wait eight months for the delivery at the end of the development phase.  If you're interested, get ready for millions of dollars as the sixteen starts at $1.6 million for a V8 version, $1.8 million for a V16 road car, and $2 million for a truck-only hypercar.
