It was one of the most anticipated Ferraris of recent years. The Ferrari Daytona SP3 is the latest in the Icona Ferrari series, cars designed for the future but capable of looking to the past from which to draw inspiration for design and shapes. It recalls and is inspired by the prototype sports of the 60s, fantastic cars that brought the performance of covered wheel cars to the pinnacle. Elegant and sinuous lines that blend with modern touches, to give life to one of the best creations of the Ferrari Style Center under the guidance of Flavio Manzoni .
The inevitable 6.5 naturally aspirated V12 has been reconfirmed , now increased to 840 HP thanks to the use of new titanium connecting rods and nanotechnologies for the coating of cylinders and pins, so as to allow this twelve-cylinder to reach 9,500 rpm. It is coupled to the indissoluble F1 DCT dual-clutch automatic transmission that projects traction onto the rear wheels only, without the aid of electrification systems. The 0-100 km / h is covered in just 2.85 seconds while the top speed is of 340 km / h .
Among the infinite technologies present on this car, we cannot speak of active aerodynamics: it is in fact devoid of movable wings, bulkheads or other, everything is generated by the simple silhouette of the bodywork and the faired bottom. The frame is made entirely of T800 carbon , with aluminum and steel reinforcements at the ends. The dry weight thus stops at around 1,480 kg , for a car that has a license plate configuration, with a removable carbon roof.
They will be only 599 the specimens of Daytona SP3 products, all of them already sold at a base price of 2 million Euros including tax.
