LIFAN E4 ELECTRIC SCOOTER | With exchangeable battery in a double pack

In Italy, Lifan offers the new E4 electric scooter in two performance versions and optionally with a double battery at prices between 2,600 and 4,600 euros.

Chinese technology is hidden under the Italian dress. Better: techniques. Lifan offers the new E4 in three versions in two performance classes. The look is the same, there are slight differences in the cockpit of the scooters of different strengths. Lifan E4 1900 The entry-level model is the E4 1900 with its wheel hub motor from Bosch with 1.9 kilowatts of power, equivalent to 2.6 hp, and 17 Nm of torque. With this performance, the E4 reaches 45 km / h and should pack a range of up to 80 kilometers with its 1.56 kWh battery. As with all E4s, the battery under the seat can be removed and charged outside the Lifan. Incidentally, the battery weighs 12 kilograms. In this variant, the E4 weighs 102 kilograms, is equipped with a monochrome LC display, three driving modes and cruise control. In the version with two batteries, the theoretical range doubles to 160 kilometers and the weight increases by a further 12 kilograms. Lifan E4 4750 Lifan equips the E4 4750 directly with two batteries. The number gives it away: the wheel hub motor from Bosch has an output of 4.75 kW or 6.5 hp. It enables a top speed of 70 km / h. The E4 4750 should travel 120 kilometers. The weight with both batteries is 114 kilograms. Chassis and equipment The chassis and running gear are the same for all E4 versions. A steel frame is complemented by an aluminum swing arm. It is supported on the frame by stereo struts, and a simple telescopic fork cushions and dampens at the front. The wheels measure 12 inches in diameter. A hydraulic disc brake works at the front and rear, connected in a CBS (Combined Braking System). Prices If you use the Italian government's eco bonus and scrap an old combustion scooter, you can get the E4 1900 from 1,600 euros. The second battery costs a good 400 euros extra and the E4 with 6.5 PS can whiz through the cities for a good 2,900 euros. The color choice is simple: there is only a gray version. CONCLUSION The subsidies for electric mobility on two wheels are really interesting: the price of the Lifan scooter drops by a good 30 percent if the eco bonus and the scrapping bonus are used.
