The KTM 390 Adventure starts the new season with adapted electronics, Euro 5 and new wheels.
The inner values count. The hackneyed calendar phrase goes perfectly with the facelift of the 390 Adventure. KTM has made improvements under the body and is bringing the single-cylinder with 43 hp and 37 Nm to the Euro 5 standard. The electronic equipment with ABS cornering, which is already lavish for an entry-level enduro, is also being improved by KTM.
The new modes of traction control are particularly important to KTM: traction control can be set in the street or off-road operating modes. However, the slip control cannot be switched off even in off-road mode. In contrast to the well-known off-road mode of the ABS: Here the system on the rear wheel does not regulate.
The new cast rims of the 390 Adventure are built with five instead of six spokes. This construction is stiffer and more resilient. KTM would like to make it clear that these rims can be used to drive off-road even more aggressively. Nothing is known about the weight advantages or disadvantages of the new wheels. KTM gives the dry weight of the 390 Adventure for 2022 at 158 kilograms.
Visually, KTM leaves it with new colors. The 390 Adventure will be available in a black base tone with gray attachments and orange graphics in 2022. The other variant has the corporate colors blue and orange. KTM has not yet published prices.
Euro 5 for the engine and new modes for traction control are the main changes in the already considerable arsenal of electronic driving aids in the little adventure. There are also new cast rims.
