Infiniti: two new sedans and an electric SUV within the next 2 years [VIDEO]

After years of waiting, the first fully electric Infiniti seems to be ready for debut , as anticipated by this teaser. A somewhat unusual timing considering Nissan's almost premature approach to the world of electric with the Nissan Leaf . After the debut of the Nissan Ariya , even Infiniti, the premium brand controlled by the Japanese giant, seems to be ready to present its vision of the electric car. New electric car platform shared with Nissan After a few false starts, it seems the time has come for the first electric Infiniti to debut, considering the massive plan that Nissan has planned for the next 5 years, with almost € 18 billion in investments by 2027 . According to the video released on Wednesday, the Japanese house plans to present 3 new zero-emission models, including two sedans and a medium-sized SUV / Crossover. All three cars should offer similar stylistic traits to the Infiniti QX Concept presented in 2019. The big difference compared to those concepts shown about 2 and a half years ago lies in the platform . At the time it was planned to share with some hybrid cars that, in the end, never saw the light. To date, the three new Infiniti proposals should instead arise on the basis of a new platform specifically designed for electric cars, with all the ensuing advantages in terms of habitability, production costs and organization of the overall dimensions. It will almost certainly be shared with Nissan. From the Japanese giant, some Infiniti vehicles will also inherit the platforms for endothermic vehicles and the new full-hybrid system recently presented for the Nissan Qashqai .
