Huawei Aito M5: the electric SUV of the technology colossus

Huawei enters the world of cars and presents its first model: the Aito M5 . It is a medium electric SUV, equipped with the HarmonyOS operating system and with the ability to travel over 1,100 kilometers on one charge, thanks to the range extender engine. It will arrive on the Chinese market in the second part of February 2022.   Features  Technology is at the fore in the Aito M5, with a cockpit dominated by the 15.6-inch central touchscreen , equipped with the HarmonyOS system. The latter is always connected and is able to automatically connect and interact with all the devices inside the car, as long as they are branded Huawei.   Among the other elements provided there is an evolved voice assistant , apps for listening to music and watching videos, as well as the satellite navigator developed directly by the Japanese giant . Obviously, there is no lack of driver assistance systems , of higher level 2: from adaptive cruise control to the recognition of road signs. All thanks to a series of cameras and ultrasound radar to enable these functions.   The engine  The Aito M5 is powered by one or two electric motors, depending on the version chosen, combined with a turbo 1.5 four-cylinder petrol engine , but used only as a range extender. The thermal engine, in fact, is activated only to recharge the batteries, thus giving a range of over 1,100 kilometers.  Prices  This model will be available in China, with a list price of around € 34,000 for single-engine version and € 38,800 for the dual motor.
