Peugeot: Stellantis has big plans for the French brand

Over the last decade, Peugeot has made a notable leap forward in both image and sales. The car manufacturer of the Lion under the leadership of Jean-Philippe Imparato, who has now moved to Alfa Romeo, has recorded an important leap in quality, thanks to the launch of some models, which soon proved to be real successes. The reference obviously goes to vehicles such as Peugeot 208, 2008, 3008 and 308 just to name a few of those that have been commercially successful. Even under Stellantis, the Lion brand will continue to play an important role. In fact, it is said that the car group of Carlos Tavares wants to transform the transalpine brand into a true global brand. Stellantis: this is how it intends to make Peugeot a global brand To do this, however, Peugeot will also have to do well beyond European borders. For now, in fact, the French car manufacturer is one of the leaders in the main markets of our continent but outside, for the moment, things are not going as they should go. However, Stellantis has big plans for its brand that will be announced with the first industrial plan that the group, born last January from the merger of FCA and PSA, will announce in the first months of next year. However, we can already tell you that Stellantis wants to quadruple the sales of the brand in Latin America and in particular in Brazil. In that area of the world Peugeot should receive "help" from Fiat and Jeep which are already real realities dominating the market in all segments. Already now in Brazil we can see the first improvements for the brand of the Lion which in recent years had managed to conquer only a very small share of that market. China and Latin America will be key to the future of the brand Another key market is China . Up to now things have not been going very well for the French. Stellantis, however, does not give up and announces that the conquest of China with Peugeot is also part of its future plans, and in this case too it will be the great protagonist. Yet another question mark remains on the USA. Tavares, when he was still head of PSA, had announced the return of the brand to the United States, but at the moment the situation is not yet clear.
