Cop26, Ford signs the agreement to bid farewell to thermal engines globally by 2040

Among the car manufacturers, Ford is one of the strongest supporters of a radical electrification process that aims straight at the elimination of thermal combustion engines .  It is therefore not surprising that Ford, as also proudly underlined by Fabrizio Faltoni , president and CEO of Ford Italy, is among the signatories of the Route Zero agreement relating to the cut in car emissions, defined at Cop26 .  Ford goes further: in Europe only electric from 2030 The Blue Oval House has therefore officially joined the agreement which provides for the abandonment of thermal engines (petrol and diesel) from 2035 in the most industrialized countries and from 2040 worldwide . After all, the objectives already announced by Ford are more than in line with the terms defined by the Route Zero plan: from 2030 it will produce only electric cars in Europe and for that same year the Ford range in the world will be composed of at least 40% of battery-powered vehicles. .
