CAKE WORK SERIES | E-two-wheelers as a donkey and workhorse

Cake presented its new Work Series at EICMA 2021 in Milan, for which the e-two-wheelers have been optimized for a wide variety of work assignments.

The Swedish electric two-wheeler manufacturer is presenting its new and robust series of electric utility vehicles, which can now also be ordered. Cake has both parcel deliverers and craftsmen in its focus. Restrictions planned for 150 cities The concept of using electric two-wheelers as commercial vehicles in cities has long ceased to be exotic. Cargo bikes and mopeds have long been part of the urban landscape. With the Work Series, Cake would like to offer a sustainable and efficient concept for service providers and logistics companies. And the market definitely seems to have a future: According to Cake, more than 150 cities around the world have already announced restrictions on traffic with internal combustion engines. Stefan Ytterborn, founder and CEO of Cake: "Every industry in which many short trips are covered knows the daily struggle with traffic jams, parking tickets and the need to find economical and sustainable vehicles without fossil fuels. We at Cake firmly believe in this that the future of last mile deliveries lies in electrically powered two-wheelers ". Cake Work Series designed with user groups in mind According to Cake, the Work Series was designed and developed in cooperation with various user groups and is based on the three existing platforms: On the Kalk e-offroader, the Ösa modular utility bike and the Makka city and commuter bike. All bikes in the Cake Work Series should provide enough energy to be able to be on the road for a whole day and also to supply tools, warming boxes or cool boxes with sufficient electricity. In addition, the Work Series models have a higher towing capacity and a more compact design, such as a narrower handlebar that makes it easier for drivers to move between cars. Cake also offers a wide range of dedicated accessories for the Work Series as well as 19 complete configurations. CONCLUSION The Work Series is not only chic and hip electric, because the Cake models were already designed for that. Now, with the appropriate adjustments and accessories, they even seem practical enough for some professional tradespeople and can also transport serious package quantities and sizes.
