BRIXTON CROSSFIRE 500 XC FOR 2022 | Off-road A2 bike

The Brixton Crossfire 500 XC will follow the Crossfire models 500 and 500 X in 2022, from which it differs with an off-road look.

Designed in Austria by the KSR-Group, built in China and peppered with parts from well-known manufacturers: The 500 is the mid-range Brixton. The in-line twin offers the full 48 hp in the A2 category, but vibrates noticeably. Components such as an adjustable KYB chassis at the front and rear, Bosch ABS, an exhaust system made entirely of stainless steel and aluminum wire-spoke wheels are pleasing, but the spring elements should respond more finely, as our previous test drives have shown. Studded tires and raised mudguard The XC version of the Brixton Crossfire 500 is new for the 2022 model year. It differs from the other two in its more off-road appearance, which is dominated by studded tires, the 19-inch front wheel and the raised front mudguard. At the front the XC rolls on a 110/80 tire, at the rear a rubber of the dimension 150 / 60-17 is attached. The number plate attached just below the seat and the headlight protection create a visual difference to the other two model variants. In addition, the Brixton Crossfire 500 XC should come with an engine guard. 48 hp, 43 Nm and 160 km / h As in the other two 500s, the 486 cm³ two-cylinder in the Brixton Crossfire 500 XC also generates full A2-capable 48 hp at 8,500 rpm and 43 Nm at 6,750 rpm. The maximum speed is specified with 160 km / h, the consumption with 4 liters. A 320 mm disc is used for deceleration at the front, while a 240 mm disc is installed in the rear. KSR specifies the seat height of the Brixton Crossfire 500 XC as 839 millimeters, the weight should be 195 kilos, while 160 kilos are allowed. When exactly the Brixton Crossfire 500 XC will be launched in 2022 has not yet been announced, as has the price. CONCLUSION A2 motorcycles are still popular. And with the Crossfire 500 XC, Brixton will be offering an even greater selection of unconventional eye-catching bikes from 2022.
