Audi Q8 e-tron: the new SUV will go into production from 2026

The new electric model is expected to arise on the PPE platform.

Audi has confirmed in the past few hours that it will soon launch a fully electric SUV as a successor to the current e-tron produced in Brussels: Audi Q8 e-tron . The announcement was made by none other than Markus Duesmann , CEO of Audi, earlier this month during a visit to the Forest plant (Brussels, Belgium) to celebrate the construction of the # 8,000,000 car: an Audi e-tron painted in Glacier White. According to the Belgian website RTL , the new Q8 e-tron will go into production at the Audi plant starting in 2026. This also means the official presentation could take place by the end of 2025. It should propose slightly larger dimensions of the e-tron Unfortunately, Duesmann hasn't revealed any details about the new generation zero-emission SUV, but, taking the naming into consideration, it should be a slightly larger model than the current e-tron and a kind of full electric version of the Audi Q8 with internal combustion engine. Furthermore, unlike the e-tron, which is based on a platform derived from a model with an internal combustion engine, the new Audi Q8 e-tron will rise on a platform built specifically for electric vehicles. For now, the details on the platform in question are scarce, but it could be the Premium Platform Electric ( PPE ) developed by Porsche and Audi. We just have to wait for the next few weeks to see if more information about the mysterious new SUV will emerge.
