Apollo Project Evo: new extreme hypercar with an unconventional design [PHOTO]

Aim to challenge the Bugatti Bolide  After Gumpert and Intensa Emozione, two hypercars synthesizing performance and speed that aim for the Olympus of the extreme dream car segment challenging rivals such as Bugatti, the German Apollo returns to the fore with its third model, the Project Evo .  An extreme evolution of the first two hypercars, the Apollo Project Evo focuses on the Bugatti Bolide with the clear intention of directly challenging it, proposing itself as a real alternative to the hypercar made by the Molhseim company.   Unveiled at the China International Import Expo in Shanghai, testifying the manufacturer's attention to the oriental market, the Apollo Project Evo is characterized by sharp and sharp external lines , a markedly sharp design that creates an effect of movement even when the car it is firm.    Look defined by aerodynamics The front features thin X-shaped LED headlights and a large carbon fiber splitter, while the silhouette allows us to appreciate the unusual shape of the cockpit, which looks almost like an airplane cabin , with the sides showing a large number of slots and air intakes. The rear is also aeronautical-inspired with the two wings on the tail that ensure greater stability to the tail at high speeds. In reality, the two wings are part of six aerodynamic appendages , enriched by full-length LED profiles, which form an X with three large round tailpipes arranged in a triangle at the center.   Which engine? Equipped with a carbon fiber monocoque, active aerodynamics and adjustable spoilers, the Apollo Project Evo promises higher and more extreme performance than those of the Intensa Emozione . However, for the moment the characteristics of the engine are not known which, given the rear exhausts, will be internal combustion, but which could be supported by electrified technology.     Faster and more powerful than Intense Emotion The Intensa Emozione, produced in just 10 units and capable of generating 1,350 kg of downforce at 350 km / h, is fitted with a naturally aspirated 6.2-liter V12 engine that develops 780 hp and 760 Nm of maximum torque, for a 0-100 sprint. km / h accomplished in 2.7 seconds and a top speed of 350 km / h. Based on this, it is reasonable to expect that the Project Evo, also probably produced in a very limited series, will further increase the power hidden under the hood and consequently its performance capabilities.
