Xbox's racing simulator is going the way of the dodo bird on Sept. 15.

Forza Motorsport has always been a bit of a snob favorite of mine, to the point I worked on a game (Forza 4 ftw). Sadly, I must inform you that Turn 10 Studios announced on Thursday that Forza Motorsport 7 will no longer be developed.

What does that mean, exactly? That means it will no longer be possible to purchase the game and all its DLC after Sept. 15. Those who have already purchased the game and DLC will be able to play it, and online content like Rivals will still be available.

Those who bought DLC through Xbox Game Pass will receive an online token that lets them download a copy of the game permanently, though that token will stop working after Sept. 15, so you should download things sooner rather than later. Those who are suddenly intrigued by the game after reading this can purchase it for $9.99 from the Microsoft Store.

Initially released in 2017, Forza 7 debuted the 991-generation Porsche 911 GT2 RS and was also the debut game for the Porsche 911 GT2 RS. Forza 7 included a number of cool features, such as dynamic weather and customizable drivers. Additionally, it provided over 700 vehicles to drive on more than 30 circuits.

I was pretty thrilled that it was possible, especially since I didn't have a PlayStation.

It was announced in 2020 that Forza 7 would be replaced by Forza Motorsport, but it is still unclear when it will be released.
