In recent months, Yamaha's new and improved MT-09 has been available globally for several months. It has yet to make its debut in the Land of the Rising Sun, despite being a newer and improved model. The MT-03 and MT-25 are Yamaha's smaller and more beginner-friendly models, introduced before the MT-09.

The MT-09's official Japanese launch date has been set to the 26th of August, Yamaha's middleweight naked streetfighter. You can choose between three color options for the bike. It will be available in either matte dark grey metallic, deep purple, or pastel dark grey metallic, just like the MT-09 we have on the global market. It is expected to cost approximately $10,000 USD for the new and improved MT-09.

Furthermore, Yamaha is also introducing in Japan a more premium, more performance-oriented model, the MT-09 SP. The SP version of the motorcycle will debut much sooner than the standard one, with sales starting on July 28th. The MT-09 SP has just one color option-Black Metallic. It costs JPY 1,265,000, or roughly $11,400 USD.
